My 5 besties from the Deloitte days all met in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina this past weekend (sans kids or SOs). This is our third trip since we stopped working together (first in Florida, second in Atlanta), and we've now had seven children between us. I bunked up with the other girl who has two kiddos, so lots of "oh-my-gosh-my-house-is-so-crazy" conversations into the wee hours of the morning.
Our friend, Nancy, just bought her beautiful dream beach house. A great accomplishment for her (and how lucky are we to be her friends!!)

The weekend consisted of eating, drinking and gabbing. Some walks on the beach, too, when the wind didn't blow us away. We could also see the beach from the safety on the porch and rocking chairs - which is where we chose to sit most of the day.

Jen gifted us with monogrammed champagne flutes (in acrylic, very smart). We made good use of them all weekend.
Three times we headed into town. Once on foot, as we walked around a large loop on the island.
We had lunch at a little pub in the sun, made another trip for more champagne, and also bought t-shirts for the littles in hopes of photoshopping a combined kiddo picture (fingers crossed).
Twice...
Saturday afternoon involved a little nap on the porch, which felt like Heaven. We were interrupted by a group of fraternity brothers renting the house next door, and they came over to talk to us about the "real world". (As in, they are graduating and think their life is over. We assured them it's not. I've never felt more old, haha.)
