We took our kids to their first Atlanta Braves game (well, and first Professional Baseball game - not counting the Macon Bacon, which we love to attend). Not only did they see a game, a Braves WIN and phenomenal firework show, but we got a private tour of the entire stadium! We went with our dear friends and just had a great time the whole day.
These girls, Ellie and Eva, are the same age (and in the same classes) as JB and Maryn and they've been close for quite a while. We're going to miss them SO MUCH when we move.
We got to see the press conference room AND the press box. Plus all sorts of other suites and luxury boxes that only a few select will ever get to see. (We reminded the kids: those aren't our seats, haha) :)
After a quick bite and rest, we decided to go back down to the stadium early because we could hear a lot of fun and activity going on. Our hotel was only a short 20 minute walk from the stadium, across a massive bridge over 285. We just followed the crowd!
They had so many activities for the kiddos. They had a BLAST! And of course, everyone needed new jerseys :)
We were fortunate enough to see a BRAVES WIN! They were behind the entire game until bottom of the 8th, when they scored a leading run. In the top of the 9th the Braves pitcher struck out three batters in a row. The crowd went crazy!
They put on an incredible firework show and we ended the night on such a high note. Not sure when we'll make another game, but it will be tough to top this one!
