Happy Easter 2019!!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend, celebrating our risen Lord and the hope and love shown on the cross.  This is the first year JB has really understood the Easter story, and we spent a lot of this season discussing the life, death, and resurrection of Christ.  I'm so proud of the faith he is developing at an early age, and thankful for a wonderful children's ministry at our church that is growing these young minds.

love these 4!

The kiddos sat for a few pictures...until they were over the pictures....

Look at those twinsies (JB and M!)

M is upset about the invisible boo boo on her thumb

aaaaaand, we're done....

Although we focus on the Easter story, we still enjoy the Easter Bunny, too. :)  Well, most of us do - poor Maryn is terrified (and we didn't get a Bunny picture this year for this reason).

First, we dyed our eggs!

At midnight of Easter Eve, we were in bed with a trembling Maryn, convincing her the doors were locked, the baskets were outside, the Bunny could not get in the house. But, the next day, lots of smiles when they saw their baskets!

James felt jealous that the Bunny got to hide all the eggs, so he hosted his own egg hunt for the kids after nap.

Maryn would find blue eggs and say "shuuuuuush, don't tell JB!" (They are very committed to the idea of "boy colors" and "girl colors" these days, despite our insistence that there are no gender colors!!!)

He filled the eggs with some goodies....and some funny fools. The kids loved it.

Wesley was a bit hesitant to participate...poor Bubs woke up grumpy from his long Sunday afternoon nap.

Finally James convinced him to pick up an egg or two.

A beautiful day, a beautiful Easter season, so much fun with the kiddos.  So thankful for all these blessings!
