After we left Atlanta, our dear friends, Ben and Calvin, decided we were way too far away and had to pack themselves up to move closer to us. They weren't ready to go full country down in Middle GA, so they stopped halfway between in the picturesq village of Reynolds at Lake Oconee. And I'm so glad they did, because it means we're only a short 1.5 hours away from a paradise getaway!
We love these two, as do our kids. How special for lifelong friends to stay close year over year, life phase after life phase. Cairo, GA sure does produce some solid, handsome men!
And all the spouses/partners that the Cairo crowd brings into our lives!
Okay, enough about the big people, how about some precious pics of the little people. They had just as good of a trip as the grown ups. JB worked on his golf skills. Or his rodeo skills. Not sure if he was putting the ball or riding the club...
Maryn worked up quite an appetite with all her (almost) walking, and could not get enough food in her little body. Girlfriend can clean a plate.
Did I mention how beautiful their new place is? The "cottage" (if you can even call it that) is already perfectly decorated, the setting is idealic, and the community is a dream. Playgrounds, swimming pools, golf courses, restaurants. Is this real life!?
You better believe we hit up those playgrounds. JB was thrilled (Maryn doesn't see quite the appeal of being hot, squished, and surrounded by nature...)
She does love a good push on the swing, though. :)
Mama forgot that she was no longer in France and enjoyed a little snip of Rose at the playground. Is that legal? Socially acceptable?
You know it's a good trip home with all passengers are snoring before you hit the main road. Even the furry ones.
We love your new house, guys! And love that we're all so close in proximity!
