We kicked off 2024 with several busy weekends and lots of time with friends and family - a great way to start of a new year. We met the other Sassers at the Farm and Ben came and bought an enormous amount of fireworks for the kiddos (and adults) to enjoy. We had a blast!
We got hit with a freak winter storm (no snow, just wind and tornadoes) which closed school and caused a little anxiety with the kiddos (and dog). Everything was fine, thank goodness, and we had a lot of together time and craftivity.
The Elementary School celebrated "80 days left of school" and the Primary School celebrated "100 days of school". So much fun!
We visited Fort McAllister State Park with some friends and had a great time on the fort.
JB has been doing a lot of fishing and having fun with all his new tackle, the reel holder for his bike, and good friends who love the water as much as he does. James bought a fryer because, let's the honest, that's just the best way to eat all this fresh fish!
And Wesley keeps losing his teeth!!! I am SO NOT READY for his sweet baby face to change, but I know it's all part of his growing up.
Wesley has also enjoyed so many birthday parties! Lots of trips to Defy and other fun places.
James and I enjoyed an adult evening at the Main House, listening to a fabulous jazz singer and supporting the Savannah Music Festival. Hoping for more of these in the future! We need the culture!
Our Enda girl celebrated two things in January: first, her 12th birthday! and second, her Golden Bone - Dog of the Month award at the Ford. :)
We ended the month with the most fantastic January weather - warm, sunny skies (and a heated pool, which these kiddos took advantage of!)
Not a bad way to start off the year! Excited for what 2024 will bring and all the many adventures ahead.
