A Happy Halloween!

Nothing like making sure we document Halloween right before Thanksgiving :) But everyone was SO CUTE that I couldn't let all these pictures not land on the family blog!   

This year the kiddos all picked out their own costumes with very little input or questions from us.  They said it and I went out and found it, bought it.  It's fun to see their little personalities shine through!

I can't believe how many people have not seen Prince Bride - it's practically inconceivable!  But it's a classic in our house and one of JB's favorites. He rocked the costume.

Maryn has become quite the fan of the team, and so this choice made a lot of sense. She insisted I do her make up "with the eyelash stuff!!" and - for the first time in a long time - wore a big ole Southern bow.

Robin Hood

Wesley loves to watch the old Robin Hood movie on Disney+, and wore his costume with pride. Even when people would say "oh, what a cute Peter Pan!"  our confident Wesley would correct with "hey, I'm not Peter! I'm Robin Hood!"  Haha.

Our neighbors got together for a little snack before heading off to trick or treat down our street.  It's now a tradition and everyone loves it. 

Dr. Harsha, the great magician, provided the dinner entertainment for us.

Then, we took off down the street! The kids totally know the drill by this point. All creatures of habit, they hit up the same houses in always the same order.

Our three families are very close, and I don't know how we would have survived the Pandemic without them!

Another Halloween in the books!  And a great one at that!  JB asked if we could do "family costumes" next year, so now he has 300+ days to convince his Daddy... :)

Pumpkins and (Grand)Parents

October always turns out just as wild and crazy as September, even though it's officially a "break" from all the events of our most fun and full month of the year.  October means Fall Fests, pumpkin patches, and - this year - a quick visit from the grandparents!  

Grammy and Gran Gran came and spent the week with us (before going and living their best retired life, eating and drinking across Savannah).  They got to do a school drop offs, lots of puzzles and activities, see the progress on our farm, and cook.  Since I got sick with a bad cold, they also provided an extra set of hands, which was so appreciated.

Grammy got to go with us to the pumpkin patch at our favorite local place, Green Acres Farm.  We went with the Vyas ladies (minus the babe) and had a blast.  Still a little warm (Middle Georgia Falls are not that cool) with lots of sunshine.

(Gotta throw this one in for comparison - same sign 3 years ago!! Obviously Wesley has grown, but refused to cooperate in my request to "stand up tall!")

Okay, back to 2021...

What a fun time ! I'm so glad Grammy could go with us.  And so glad that we got at least one group picture. Even if, once again, blondie refused to participate. :)

Now, Gran Gran had a lot of fun during the week, too.  Enda is especially blue now after they go home (she loves him!)

We are so blessed with this time together!  Can't wait until we all get to see each other again.
