Thankful for Everything - 2018

We celebrated Thanksgiving this year in Texas with our Kerr family, and had a fantastic week of family and fun. Beyond the actual Thursday activities, we hit up many of the wonderful parks and museums that the great city of Houston has to offer. More on that to come, because I have lots of stories and pictures to share...

But first, a reminder of what I'm thankful for this year (and every year):

These people mean the world to me!! 

And sure do make picture taking a fun event, with all their silly faces and antics :)

The food, per usual, was delicious. We have several family-members who are low-carbing and keto-ing, so it made for some healthier, greener sides. (And crushed pork skins on top of the cauliflower to avoid breadcrumbs, but who is going to complain about that??)

Terribly, I did not get many pictures of the other family members.  I had nearly all my siblings/siblings-in-law there (everyone but Martel!) But no one ever wants to get family pictures, ba-humbug.... I tried to piece together some with my phone and others' phones. 

Uncle Bob and Aunt Judy hosted quite the crowd, and loved on our children. JB found his movie-watching pal in Aunt Judy. He curled up with her for several new Christmas shows!

Maryn with my sister, the original red-head of our family. Not pictured - my beautiful sister-in-law, Missy, who surprised us with a trip down, and my other beautiful sister-in-law, Shawntel, who is an inspiration for us this year (as she successfully battled - and defeated - breast cancer!)

Maryn found a white egret feather during one of our walks that day (to burn off that fried turkey).  She's obsessed with egrets right now, and has named the two that live in our neighborhood "Spaghetti" and "Wonder Woman". When we saw several in the lake, she excitedly proclaimed that "spaghetti traveled to Texas!"  (But not wonder woman, "her stayed in Georgia") :)

A Happy Thanksgiving Day - reminding us of so much we have to be thankful for. Our sweet family of five, these Kerr relatives, our wonderful Sasser-plus family back in Georgia, and all the other blessings that God has given us.
