First, we took all three young'uns to the Downtown Christmas market and Christmas tree lighting the first of December. JB got to ride a pony (Sissy refused) and the kids enjoyed making ornaments. We yelled the countdown with the rest of the townspeople and our city center's tree was lit!
The box had several footed PJs for M, which made JB a teensy bit jealous since none of his PJs have "cool feet". I went on a wild goose chase all over town, trying to find 4t footed Christmas PJs (not an easy feat - no pun intended!) FINALLY found some (50% off!) of now he insists on wearing them every single night. Best $12 I've ever spent.
JB has been a good little helper in the kitchen - we've made breads for the neighbors, cookies for parties, and then several batches of fudge.
Snowflake (our Elf on a Shelf) came to visit as soon as the Christmas tree went up, and that silly guy keeps us in stitches with all his crazy locations each morning. Except when he's in the same place because someone forgot to move him... (Fortunately this tends to happen after one of the children touches him, so we blame it on that and say he has to "get back some of his magic"...)
I enjoyed the best book for the Advent season, discussing the story and character of Joseph. Highly recommend - so thought provoking for this season.
Just a couple more weeks until Christmas! Mama forgot to buy an advent calendar, so we're kicking it old school with a Christmas Countdown Chain!
