Friday with the Furbaby

I know what you're thinking?  "MORE PICTURES OF THAT DOG!?"  Yes, more pictures of Enda.  Just pretend like you don't think we're those crazy dog parents and enjoy them.  How can you not, she's so stinkin' cute!

If you have a dog and live in Atlanta, you should definitely check out the new Piedmont Dog Park.  It's one of Enda's favorites, and Mama likes it, too, because it's 100% closed in with a fence.  (Our little gal is improving, but still not fully trustworthy without some physical barriers).

On Friday, James and I headed over to the park after work to let Enda do her little crazy runs and get out some energy before the weekend.  The park was pretty quiet, except for a long haired daschund who thought he was about three times larger than he really was.  Those two had a good time.

At one point, Enda decided that she preferred those on two legs over her four-legged friends, and walked around to each and every human to sit and wait for a head pat.  As soon as they'd said "oh, look how polite" she took that as her cue to jump up and lay a kiss on them... Ah, training - money well spent.  :)  After a while she decided that she got more attention by laying at people's feet, and get a good head rub.

I played around with my camera while we walked around the park.  I love this shot I got of James and Enda - with the green grass and the Atlanta skyline.  It's really a shame that James is off this market, because how perfect would this be for an online dating profile?!  Cute guy, cute dog, lovely city.  Don't get any ideas, babe...

On the way back we looked for a "dog friendly" patio to grab a quick beer (it was Friday happy hour time, for crying out loud), but I was sad to realize that none of the places around Piedmont allowed dogs!  Surprising!  With all the Midtown lefties and yuppies, I would have thought someone would have demanded pet-friendly places!

So we headed back to our 'hood where dogs can go with us most anywhere. Beers on the patio turned into pizza with friends, who were sweet enough to let Enda come hang out in their sophisticated high-rise.  (She is not fully potty trained and seems to have a knack for finding / destroying anything nice - you can see my hesitation to allow her free reign over other people's homes.)  Fortunately she was so tired at that point that all she wanted was a lap to nap in.  As you can see, James was happy to oblige.  My two cuties - love them!
